Day Services
Introduction to Day services
The aim of each Service is to offer a varied and stimulating day programme for all adults who attend. We promote a positive environment where each individual develops their skills and interests and participates in activities and goals of their choice. Activities are planned on an individual basis, with the emphasis on new challenges and opportunities. We promote independence and freedom of choice to enhance each individual’s quality of life. Our Programmes are carried out in line with the National New Directions Policy which encourages each individual to develop their abilities and talents to their full potential. CQL’s personal outcome measures are used to identify People’s Quality of Life Outcomes and plan supports with each individual.
Our Programmes
Self-directed lives
Day Supports promote a positive environment where each person develops their skills and interests. We aim to support people to lead self-directed lives and to embed the values of social role valorisation.
Individual Goals & Preferences
We design our programmes around each individuals goals and preferences and participation in the life of our local community. These goals and outcomes guide us in person-centred planning.
Preparation for Work
Preparation for work is also a key element to many day supports. This includes work skills, work experience, job coaching and mentoring. Examples of programmes are life skills, money skills, horticulture, creative arts and more.
